What Is Stem Cell-Based Regenerative Medicine?

Stem cells have the remarkable ability to differentiate into various types of tissues and cells.
This is a regenerative medical technology aimed at restoring damaged tissues and lost functions.

・Differentiation — The ability to transform into various cells that make up the human body, such as skin cells, red blood cells, and platelets.

・Self-Renewal — The ability to divide and produce identical stem cells, essentially allowing one stem cell to replicate itself.

Mesenchymal stem cell therapy is gaining increasing attention.

Adipose-derived stem cells, a type of mesenchymal stem cell naturally found in the human body, possess unique properties. Research has shown their high therapeutic potential for various diseases, making them a promising cell type in the field of regenerative medicine.

Autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells have the ability to both self-renew and differentiate into various cell types.

These stem cells can differentiate into nerve cells, muscle cells, vascular endothelial cells, bone cells, and more. Through their regenerative capacity, they are believed to repair damaged or aged cells and have shown potential in treating a wide range of conditions, including neurological, immune, and vascular diseases.

What Are Autologous Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells?

Mesenchymal stem cells are harvested from the patient's own adipose (fat) tissue, cultured, and expanded to a specified amount before being reintroduced into the body. Depending on the patient’s symptoms and treatment goals, the cells may be administered via intravenous infusion, local injection, intrathecal injection, intra-articular injection, or subcutaneous injection. Because the patient’s own stem cells are used, allergic reactions and rejection responses are considered less likely to occur. The treatment is provided only after sufficient explanation of the potential risks and side effects.

Autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy has been reported to be effective for conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, diabetes, and Parkinson’s disease. It is also used for joint disorders, helping reduce inflammation, repair damaged tissue, regenerate cartilage, and ultimately alleviate pain.

Benefits of Stem Cell Therapy

Anti-inflammatory effects ・ Nerve regeneration ・ Vascular regeneration ・ Immunomodulation ・ Tissue repair and regeneration ・ Antioxidant properties

〔 Stem Cell Therapy Procedure 〕

Fat collected from the patient is sent to a cell processing center with a proven track record for culturing.

Blood Test and Pre-Treatment Examination
We conduct various tests to check for infections such as viruses.
(Required tests: HBV, HCV, HTLV-1, HIV, Syphilis)
Fat Harvesting
Fat is collected from subcutaneous abdominal tissue.
A small 1 cm incision is made to harvest the fat.
Patients can return home immediately after the procedure,
and showers or baths are allowed from the next day.
You may resume your normal daily activities.
Cell Culturing
At the JASC Cell Processing Center,
adipose-derived stem cells are isolated and cultured
under strict quality control.
The initial culturing period takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

Stem Cell Administration / Injection
Based on the patient's condition, cultured stem cells are administered
through IV infusion, local injection, intrathecal injection, joint injection,
or direct injection into the skin.
